FOR ARTISTS

The Dotted Line works with artists translating existing work into the medium. Proof review, aesthetic control, and material quality are part of every collaborative edition. Sample packs are available to potential collaborators on request.

PROOF REVIEW
Artwork is reviewed and proofed before production begins. Registration, edition layout, and aesthetic checks are confirmed at each stage.
AESTHETIC CONTROL
Artwork is translated into the medium with care for original intent. You retain aesthetic input throughout the proofing and production process.
SAMPLE PACKS
Sample packs are available to potential collaborators on request. Assess material quality and substrate before committing to a collaborative edition.
RELEASE FACILITATION
Where it fits the work, release facilitation is available. Edition documentation, archive records, and release framing are handled by the studio.

STUDIO

The Dotted Line is a small studio producing collectible perforated paper editions. Each work is made to archive standards, documented at edition level, and released in limited cycles.

EDITION PRACTICE
Each edition is planned, proofed, and produced to a consistent standard. The archive records every released work.
COLLABORATION
The studio works with artists on collaborative editions — from first concept through proofing, production, and release documentation.
RELEASE MODEL
Editions are released in limited cycles and documented in the archive. Release notices are sent directly through the collector list.

PROCESS

Edition quality comes from material selection, proofing discipline, and consistent production standards. Production details remain studio-internal.

PAPER & SUBSTRATE
Editions are produced on archival paper stock selected for weight, surface quality, and print fidelity. Substrate choices are documented at edition level.
PROOFING
Every edition is proofed before production begins. Registration, edition layout, and finish are verified against the edition record.
PRINT QUALITY
Print quality is assessed at each production stage. Inconsistent pages are removed before the edition is counted and archived.
EDITION & ARCHIVE
Completed editions are documented in the archive with full metadata — title, material category, and release cycle.
